Aqua: Aqua

by Skripa

Aqua is the main restaurant of Aqua restaurant group and most famous and number one restuarnt in Hong Kong by TripAdvisor. It is situated on Kowloon on 29th and 30th floors. They have amazing views on central Hong Kong and harbor. Food and drinks are really amazing. I had pasta with truffles. Of course truffles smell kind disgusting (for me) but they give a delicious taste to pasta. They serve different kinds of cheese. Good japanese food. That was an amazing experience. Really great.

Tivo: Tivo

by Skripa

This place is part of "Aqua" restaurant group in Hong Kong - places that offer different varieties of delicious food. Tivo is kind of bar and restaurant same time where you can lounge, have some drinks or eat some really great food. Also situated right in the center of Hong Kong on the street with bars and clubs. So Tivo... went there for Valentine's Day and that special day they offered really special menu. 1. Gillardeau oyster (Shallot, lemon, red wine vinaigrette ), 2. Spaghettini pasta with fresh crab meat, cherry tomato, tarragon shellfish cream sauce. 3. Beef cheek with arugula, garlic potato mash, truffle oil, brown onion sauce. 4. White chocolate parfait with forest berries.I have never eat so much good and soft beef. That was really great experience. And they also serve very good champaign.Plus on Valentine's day on every table were roses. very nice.

by Skripa

This is kind of little store that sells Italian grocery and delicacies. And on the second floor is situated little restaurant. They also offer ready-made meals and different curses and events on italian theme like cookery courses, food and wine courses, private parties and special occasions on holidays. This places makes best ever sandwiches with best ever ham and salami. Also very nice desserts and really good green tea. It is situated very close to Empire Hotel and was the best ever place to have breakfast on the way to subway.

Yan Toh Hee: Authentic Chinese Food

by Gypsystravels

We where here for a special birthday celebration dinner, so we knew we wanted something nice. As we walked into the Intercontinental for a few drinks we asked our waiter if he had any recommendations. He recommended this restaurant and even went as far as making a reservation for us. This restaurant is located inside the Intercontinental Hotel and has a wonderful wait staff. As we entered the dining area we were seated near the windows to enjoy the beautiful skyline of Hong Kong. We quickly decided what to order and we placed our order the food promptly arrived thereafter. We started our dinner off with some Moet & Chandon (according to my receipt, lol) an order of Vermicelli Cassero, NZ Lamb Satay and a bowl of steamed white rice. The waiter brought out the dinner plates in hot casseroles and gave us both each a little bit from both of our selections. The food was quite yummy.

JOY HING: GREAT CHINESE FOOD

by xymmot

ALWAYS LOOKING FOR GREAT ROAST MEAT IN CHINATOWN. IN HONG KONG, IT IS ALL CHINATOWN HERE AND JUST LOOKING THRU THE WINDOWS MOST LIKELY WILL DO. THERE ARE CLASSICS THOUGH THAT HAS BEEN THERE FOR YEARSJoy Hing's Roasted Meat is a Cantonese char siu restaurant in Hong Kong, founded in the later part of the Qing Dynasty.[1]The restaurant, named as the best Char Siu restaurant in the city of Hong Kong by Eat & Travel Magazine[2] and online pollings in the biggest food critics website Openrice[3] and described as "a Hong Kong food we can't live without" by CNN,[4] is characterized by its long queue all day long and customers from grassroots to superstars. CHAR SIU OVER RICE OF COURSE

Shamrock Seafood Restaurant: Dim Sum Anyone?

by xymmot

This place is a old standby that has been here for years. Dim Sum on a main road, easy to find and aways have the standard fares not over priced like the others in major hotel chains. Pink tablecothes adore the tables and the push carts come by often. They have a english menu also, but I just point and shoot. Steam pork buns and Har Gow (shrimp dumplings).....sipping tea and fake reading of Chinese newspaper...They think I am a spy everytime I go there,LOl

Yoko Zuna: Feeling Ramen , at odd hours ?

by vtdanny

We have walked past this tiny Ramen place for the past 5 or so years and finally gave it a try ...fantastic. Explains the constant line up.It is mainly a Japanese Ramen(noodle) shop, serves a couple rice dish, gaoza(dumplings) , and alcohol. Most ingredients are fresh from Japan, food extremely tasty without overly salty. Soup base and meat were all excellent. Price per bowl is from 40 HKD ( about 5.1 USD ) to 50something HKD. Portion generous. It's a little gem right off the busy Nathan Road in the YMT area. The bad : constant line up, place super small. Please ask for bar seating when the place is packed. You'd have to wait after registering. We usually don't mind sharing table but the ones there were simply super minute and they sit a couple on each side of the table ... imagine that. But the ramen was just too good.Try to go there off hours, such as pre noon, or around 4 PM . Regular...

Good Luck House: A lovely little hangout

by dejavu2gb

Having been to Hong Kong 7 times now, this is a local hangout of ours, and a place that I would highly recommend. It's set off D'Aguilar Street in Lan Kwai Fong area of Hong Kong, so its very easy to find. The staff are very welcoming, and its one of a few handful of places in Hong Kong where its possible to eat outside. The restaurant serves Malaysian/Thai cuisine, in a very casual dining environment, in a streetside dining fashion. The food is very very good, and also good value for money. Service is very good too. I would definitely recomment their Prawn Cakes... they are delicious! This is my all time favourite. They also have a very nice Nasi Goreng, and Beef Randang... yum yum!

Beaches: By the sea

by solopes

A good meal at a very reasonable price!Maybe because it was raining, there weren't many clients around, and we could choose a table just facing the sea, with a breeze cooling the place. The service was gentle and discreet, and the fish served with french fries was fresh and well done.

Local food at local prices: Food market at ferry port in Lantau

by Bernie843

It is cheap and freshly cooked in front of you. I ate here in 2005 and now in 2010 and the prices have risen only 5 dollar for a meal. You sit by the sea and tuck into large helpings of food that you recognise from back home. Good old Cantonese Chinese food... except it tastes slightly different, probably because they don't make it from a cash and carry sauce mix like back home. The curries. Sliced pork curry. just like back home, but this has red chillies in it. Order the food without the rice and then order a bowl of steamed rice. The portion is huge.
