  • Located here in the Pacific Place shopping center is this duty free store which carries a large range of health and beauty products. Its a great place to find those items that you've left behind like hair and body products, first aid items like bandages and first aid creams, candy, deodarant, drinks and an assortment of other items.

I found a few items I needed, like some bandages, hairspray and a hair styling brush.

They accept credit cards and of course cash.

    Cosmetics, health and beauty products.

Bonjour, copying the concept of SaSa, is a chain of beauty retail stores with very competitive prices. They carries many top international brands, including cosmetics, fragrances, hair and skin care products as well as private labels and products with exclusive distribution rights.

Products, prices and shops address available at:

If your heading out into rural areas you better stock up on toilet paper if you're not used to cleaning up without it! If you are from the west you might not be satisfied with the "softness" of Chinese toilet paper! hhahaahahaha But it gets the job done.

Toiletries: Good prices on designer cosmetics

  • It sells the big designer brands, all kinds of beauty gadgets/tools, and less expensive brands, all for very reasonable prices. There are often good discounts on items (especially Dior, Lancome, Clinique, Chanel, Elizabeth Arden etc).

They do not sell the very lastest products so they reduce the prices of the end-of-range items.

You can also find Asian products/brands that you may not find so easily in Europe.

They also sell those sample sized products that are "not for resale"...(A bit cheeky of them I think!)

I think it's quite a reputable shop and I don't think they sell fakes. I've heard it's the most reputable of the three main discount cosmetic stores in HK. (Sa Sa, Angel and Bonjour)...

    Buy whatever takes your fancy!

I've noticed that there are often good discounts on designer cosmetics/skincare/perfumes. They are genuine too. I saw Dior Addict perfume marked as 40% off in Sa Sa and I compared the price to Lane Crawford and it was really a discount of 40%.

The perfumes are almost ALWAYS on sale!!

Avoid buying the really really cheap brands you've never heard of, take care of your skin! Using cheap makeup tools is ok just not the makeup.

Some of my previous Sa Sa bargains:

    July 2004:
Dior "Anti Age" body cream for $60 HK from $360,
Dior "Anti Cellulite" body spritz for $60 from $320, Dior "Model Lift" face cream 30ml, $150 (ish) from $360 (ish),
Dior "Cocoon" face mask tube, $100 (ish) from $250+ (ish)

    July 2003:
Clinique face soap for oily skin $60 from $120,
    Anna Sui perfume 60% off.

    In the late 90s:

Dior eyeshadow compact, 5 colours for $30!!!
And another eyeshadow compact different colours for $40!

Unfortunately I never found Dior so cheap ever again.

Depends what you buy and how much you buy, and whether you stick to sale items.

  • There are Watson's stores, which are alot like Walgreens and 7-11's virtually all over Tsimshatsui so if you run out of something you need or for that matter don't even bring the toiletries with you, buy them there. The prices are the same as home.

  • This is a great chain shop located everywhere to buy all sorts of skin products, perfumes, makeup, hair products etc for men and women at discounted prices. I still can't figure out how they can sell it for so cheap but, I'm not complaining.
They have no name brands to high end brands from all around the world.
It's a great place to get all your toiletries and gifts for that lady in your life.

Items that you can't buy in your own country.
I particularly love their small travelling containers-Asia makes the most wide variety for this and it's so cheap!
Take your time checking out their little unusual items such as double eye lid forming tape to achieve that "Western eye" or smaller than average eyelash curling contraptions! You can even buy all the sample sizes that normally makeup brands will give away with purchase except you're able to pick only the colours or items you want.

    Much cheaper than average!

Sa Sa's legendary brand strength in Asia comes from innovative cosmetics retailing at competitive prices in more than 50 one-stop stores filled with top international labels. Headquartered in Hong Kong, where it listed publicly in 1997, Sa Sa sells more than 600 brands and 22,000 products including cosmetics, fragrances, hair and skin care products as well as private labels and products with exclusive distribution rights. Its market leadership reflects a dynamic global purchasing strategy and an innovative retailing formula based on choice and convenience. Founders Simon and Eleanor Kwok began in 1978 with just 40 square-feet of retail space in Hong Kong. Today, they preside over a pan-Asian retail chain stamped with success and a sure market sense. Sa Sa's vision for the future is to become the dominant provider in Asia of an extended range of "beauty + health" products and services, using new store concepts and e-commerce to create even fresher channels for an ever-popular brand.

    * The store is a good place to choose gifts for friends, like perfume!
    * Send the website to your friend and let him/her list favorite products. While some nice shop assistants are packing all in the list, You can feel very comfortable in chair with a cup of tea.
