DEF Boxing Gym

by jil_coleslaw

I joined the boxing centre for around half of year and found that it was quite good for keeping fit and relaxing.DEF Boxing is the first and only specialized Boxing Gym in Hong Kong. It is a members only gym. When I left Hong Kong to England, this boxing gym had been re-furbished and extended its working area.1] Single sex changing room / showers2] Lockers within the changing room3] Vending machines4] Drinking machines5] Weigthing equipment

Rugby Sevens

by danievz

This was a truely cosmopolitan experience. I met people from around the globe by attending one three day sporting event. I spend every possible minute in the stadium and had a ball. The ambiance is amazing nd the people are there to party. Some of the guys never seen any rugby, but then they did not come to watch the rugby. I spend some time in a massage parlour in town where the locals go. Everything is marble and grand. I always wanted to experience a massage where someone walks on your back. This was worth every cent and more. No guy's I did not go to one of the parlours where you have an option of with or without happy ending, as they put it in Hong Kong. Wear clothes to show your patriotism towards your country. Other travellers will then immediately talk about your country. There is a fancy dress day and let me tell you some people go to town with the idea, they end up on...

Skydiving off of the tallest building in HK

by Phildagr8

If you saw the movie Tomraider 2, then you saw Angelina Jolie jump off the tallest building in Hong Kong with some guy. Well, the building is finished, and you'll have to come up with a major bribe to do the same thing. Make sure you have your A-license in parachuting before you try anything like this. This was definitely a stunt double. They had a parachute and a fly suit. You need more than an A-license to be able to perform a stunt like that.

Four-storey Driving Range!! - City Golf Course

by arv1

This Driving range certainly has a distinguishing feature!! You can 'tee-off' on 4 different levels!! See, I'm not a golfer, but i absolutely enjoyed this!! I know how to hit the ball, i know the rules but there is no way i can call myself a golfer!! Obviously we tee-d (is that a word?) off on the top floor. If the amazing experience doesn't tickle ur fancy, then the supercool view will!! It costs HK$50 for a half hour session, which is quite expensive, but as golf is tiring, the time zooooooms by!! You can rent golf equipment (clubs, gloves etc) from the little 'shop' that you get your golf balls from, so no extra equipment is necessary.

Wake boarding

by shobhanaj

If you’re in Hong Kong in summer, a must try is wake boarding. It is very popular in the summer and can be done off Stanley and Repulse Bay beaches. Sai Kung also has some Just your swimsuit and your sense of adventure. Even beginners can do this. Very easy and very simple to learn. There is no real need to know swimming as all the providers insist on you wearing a life jacket.

Horseracing

by jil_coleslaw

horseracing is the sport that defines Hong Kong: fast paced, a field of international competitors, vast amounts of money and a favourite of all. from September to June, on most wednesday evenings and weekends, hoofs pounding down the stretch can be heard at the two glittering racetracks: Happy Valley on Hong Kong Island and Sha Tin in the New Territories. camera

Dragon Boat Racing

by jil_coleslaw

dragon boat racing is held to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival (Tuen Ng, almost in June) and is one of the most exciting sports you'll ever see in Hong Kong. with their crews straining on their paddles, these 15-metre-plus (50-foot) craft slice through the water with incredible speed. local teams usually compete on Tuen Ng Festival Day (early June) and you can catch the action if you go to Aberdeen, Stanley, Sha Tin, Tai Po, Cheung Chau and Lantau Island. camera

Biking at New Territories

by coolpanda87

The views are excellent, best way to avoid the big city, lots of paths for you to bike on ...Especially the part with the resevoir, for it offers excellent views of mountains everywhere, & you are smack in the middle of the bay. The breeze is wonderful, especially if you are trying to avoid the busy streets of Hong Kong. ^_^ You can rent bicycles there for: $20 HKD (2.60 USD) a day or the cycle in the picture for $40 (5.10USD).

Horse racing...

by dragontml

This is the most popular sport among local people. Race meetings, at which vast sums of money change hands, are held from September to June, Saturday or Sunday afternoon and Wednesday evening. The tourism board organises horseracing tours which allow visitors to enjoy the races from the members-only enclosures.
