The design of the park is based on the Jiangnan garden style of the early Qing Dynasty. The design is divided into eight ladscape, Yamen, Chess Garden, Mountain View Pavillion, Guibi and Fui Sing Pavilion, Old South Gate, Eight Floral Walks, Garden of Four Seasons and Garden of Chinese Zodiac.

Jackie Pullinger was instrumental in helping to turn around the infamous walled city in Hong Kong. Through prayer and persistence her ministry helped to radically change the area and after the city was knocked down a park was built over the top to benefit the community. There is a rock to remember the work that she did there and it is a truly beautiful park to go and visit.

If you want to get more information about the history of this please read Chasing the Dragon by Jackie Pullinger.

This is another nice place to escape the urban city crowd, and although this place is not too far from the most crowded city areas, once you get there, among the beautiful various types of trees and bushes, gives you the feeling you are in the peaceful countryside of some remote province! The entrance is free, but you can hire a guide to explain you about the ruins and other historically important points but even if not, all explanations are in English so you will sure manage arround for yourself. On this pic you see one of the typical Chinese style house and the pool arround is a home for many turtle families! :-)
