by Bejita Easy very easy to get around, cos' Taxi can find everywhere and HK is so small indeed. Subway can reach almost all focusing districts, but sometimes Minibus with the red top will get the destination in speedy time. cool...... Bus maybe too difficult to understand the route, star ferry is just cross the famous harbour in HK to the other side. Bicycling and roller skating are too dangerous to try along the street in town, all vehicles were in high speed always, that we HK people love. Roads are narrow and population density is high, that means pedestrians and vehicles were squeezed together anytime anywhere in HK. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

by AndreasK If your hotel is in Kowloon you should take the Star Ferry to cross the harbour. The green-and-white boats have been in use since the 1880s. The trip with the ferry from Kowloon to Hong Kong Island takes about 7 minutes and should not be missed, because you get a very good view of the harbour as well as an impression of daily Hong Kong life (the picture, of course, is showing a junk, and not the ferry). by AndreasK The tourist heart of Hong Kong, Tsim Shat Sui, is an easy place to find your way around. The Star Ferry terminal for ferries to Hong Kong Island, is right on the southwestern tip of the peninsula. East of here, are a number of modern museums and galleries built on reclaimed land. by rla Hong Kong has a very goo transportation system. The most convenient of all is the MTR (subway), which is fast and not very expensive, and you canget to most places by it. Then you have the buses, most of them the double decker ones. You also have the tram in Hk island only in one street. To go to the peak you have the Peak tram. Apart from this ther is the Taxi, but its not very recommended to go by taxi from Hk island to Kowloon, as the traffic is horrible outthere. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

MTR Map by yen_2 You have a choice between buses, taxis, the MTR (underground), trams, ferries and of course walking. MTR, Mass Transit Railway The MTR is great and cheap and it goes pretty much everywhere. It is by far the fastest way to get to and from the Island to Kowloon. All you need to know is where the station is that you are going and where you are at that time. Look for the last station in the direction that you want to travel and then just follow the signs for that. Leave a Comment

The Octopus Card is every person's MUST have. It allows you quick and easy access to the MTR, Star Ferry, Trams etc. It is also accepted as payment forms in many small stores like 7-11 and what not. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

by gloopgloop The East rail runs from East Tsim Sha Tsui to Lo Wu, which is the last stop before China.

by gloopgloop The West Rail serves the North West of the New Territories. It runs from Tuen Mun (New Territories) to Nam Cheong (Kowloon)

by p_yenyen The MTR is the fast, modern and efficient underground railway ystem that serves citizens of HK and tourist. It consists of six MTR lines - the Kwun Tong Line, Tsuen Wan Line, Island Line, Tung Chung line, Tseung Kwan O Line and the last one will be, Disneyland Resort Line. Signs for the system can be easily found near stations at street level. Once you are inside, you can buy your ticket or Octopus Card for the journe at the Ticket Issuing machines or the customer service counters. After passing through the entry gate, you can take the train by following the signs to the platform for your destination. On arrival, pass through the exit gate and leave the station via the street exit of your own choice. Leave a Comment
