Fatehpur Sikri is a fortified city which was completely abandoned in 1598 due to water supply problems. The city is well preserved and the Moghol architecture is some of the best of it's kind. Its a good place for a day trip from Agra.
To get there you can take a local bus or organise a trip with a private car or taxi from Agra (most hotels will help with this)
