Favorite thing: You might have heard from people or the guidebooks that the nearest ATM is Baga. It is not true. From Anjuna cross roads you can catch a bus to Mapusa for 7R that has several ATMs around the municipal gardens, just past the bus station in Mapusa.
Alternatively it there are ATM's in Calangute, but that is further away.

Favorite thing: South Goa offers some of the most eclectic music, live. Try and catch Prem Joshua at the beginning of every year, performing at one or the other small hangouts. He is the quintessential hippie icon.

If your going to Goa, don't stay in Anjuna unless your hedonist. Instead go to Arambol or Palolem much much nicer people and places
