The Royal palace turned hotel is just a great place to be. The Palace resort offers people accomodation, the place offers great services, accomodation, Bar & Lounge, Restaurant.

The food is great here. The garden is also amazing, the whole feeling is very great once you are there.

If you dont want to stay there and you are looking for budjet hotels, you can find a lot of them, lions resort, hotel ekant, chail inn... during off season they provide discounts upto 50%, you can just visit the palace from these places.

The palace charges Rs 100 for entrance and then you can stay as long as you want, you can have dinner, lunch, beverages, its all there

There is a kali mandir situated at the mountain top, this is an attraction in Chail, its around 4 Kms away from the main market.

The roads are a bit broken on the way but not all the way, there should be a good experienced driver as the roads are very much winding.

You can find lot of scenic places from this location. The place is just amazing.

The open air River Restaurant at Sadhupul
4 more images

Sadhupul is a small village in Himachal Pradesh between Solan and Chail based around a small bridge constructed over the hill river "Ashwini". It's an ideal weekend spot for Delhi-ites with the iron bridge with river flowing below it. There are tables and chairs in the middle of the river where you can sit and have beer or tea and snacks.

Its that there are restaurants and they have made open arrangements, the dining place has been placed on the River bed, The mountain river has very good current but not that depth, say 1-2 feet at max.

The food is great, all kind of tandoori stuff, kababs... you name it and that too at a very economical price. You can also have beverages, either you can buy it from there or carry your own. Great palce to sit and relax under the sun.

We visited the place during early October, this time the weather is pretty ward during the day but tends to get chilly during the evening and night. Just about the right time to spend the day in the river with the lunch.
