It's quite HORNY out on the roads
One thing you'll learn quickly about India and driving in India... the horn is an essential part of the car. If you are riding with an Indian, you won't drive more than two or three blocks without hearing the horn blown at you, or hearing your driver blow his horn. Now in America, or perhaps in western Europe as well, the blowing of a horn is a bit of a challenge in traffic. It means, in some ways, look out - get out of my way - what are you doing, you fool? Insert your own preconception of what the horn means in your world. In India, it also means "look out", but... it's a friendly mention. It's letting the little kid standing by the road know that he needs to watch out for traffic. It's letting the cycle-rickshaw guy know that you are about to pass him and not to move into your lane. It's letting the driver of the large truck/lorry ahead of you know that you are behind him and that...
