Not More Football!

If you want a British pub showing sports in Calangute, then go here.

There are other larger bars, such as the big one in Candolim, but this was local and in staggering distance to our hotel. It also has more of a pub feel to it, and is not quite as big or as busy as the sports bar.

If you don't like sport, then stay away.
Certainly a British pub feel to it, which again appeals to some people, but not to the wife.

It stays open late, so a good place to watch the late kick offs.

You wouldn't feel out of place, wearing an England top or other football top,

British Bar in Goa

Situated on the Baga Road, just past the CSM road, near the CASA GOANA restaurant and Santiago Hotel.

This is a bar aimed at the British tourist. There is a large wide screen television which shows Premiership football. Monday night is the popular quiz night. Thursday night is TV comedy night , showing popular TV comedy shows such as Father Ted, Only Fools and Horses etc.
If you miss home, and want a British pub, then this is ideal. If you have come to Goa to get away from football and all that, then stay away, or go early. They have a cocktail happy hour between 4-7PM.

As in many places in Goa, Anything goes as long as you are clothed

Banana Moon in Calangute is the place to be. The owner Abo is English and very helpfull. There is live music nearly every night. And the food is cheap and very tasty. But go early as the place gets packed.

No special dress code required
