Nightlife in Goa

Thanks to repeated crackdowns by the Goan police on parties and loud music, Calangute's nightlife is surprisingly tame. All but a handful of the bars wind up by 10.00 pm. One notable exception is Tito's at the Baga end of the beach, which stays open until 11.00 pm off-season and into the small hours in late December and January.

Unfortunately, the only other places
that consistently stay open through
the night are a couple of dull hippy
hang-outs in the woods to the south of
the beach road; Pete's Bar, a perennial
favourite next door to Angela P. Fernandes,
is generally the most lively,
offering affordable drinks,
backgammon sets and relentless
reggae. Further afield, Bob's Inn,
between Calangute and Candolim,
is another popular bar, famed less for
its court around a large
table in the front bar.
but there is amazing "full moon parties"

We have had some good nights here. It is a warm welcoming place. Open all year even throughout the monsoon. Good place to eat if you are missing food from home. We liked this place so much that we had our Christmas Dinner here.

Great place for Sunday lunch, get there early or book ahead.

If you go say hello to Anil (Manager) and Deb's (owner) for us.

TITOS SITUATED NEAR BAGA BEACH IS VERY MUCH FAMOUS ALL AROUND COUNTRY. QUITE IMPOSSIBLE TO GET A PLACE TO STAND AT NEW YEAR'S EVE. CALLED AS HEAVEN FOR PARTY ANIMALS. FAMOUS DJ'S KEEP THE NIGHTS ROCKING. COVER CHARGES AROUND 600 RS TO 1500 RS. I DONT THINK ITS TOO MUCH BECAUSE THEY GIVES YOU FREE DRINKS OF THE SAME AMOUNT.

We only came to Calgunate for the ATM as we were staying in Baga at the time. This is how we found this place. It is set just off from the main road so feels a lot calmer than the rest of Baga. There are obviously regulars who like this place. The staff are friendly, beer is cold and the price isn't bad either.

They have a quiz night and a karoke night (not my think personally).

Claims to be only English pub in Goa( Not true).

No dress code

Partying on the beach with hundreds of people,it was madness with lots of friendly people from all over the world. With the locals only to happy to join in until the sun came up. The partys were easy to find on the beach/forest, not as big as they used to be so i was told but still very enjoyable.

Night Market

Mackies Night Market is a must if you are into the market experience - whilst there are many markets in Goa the night market is a different experience.
See the stalls in the light of electric light bulbs, enjoy the unique atmosphere, the music, a cold beer and possibly some of the freshly cooked food - jacket potatoes to tandoori to chinese.
In season the market runs from late afternoon to late at night and music is available from a live band.

Whatever you feel comfortable in.

Beautiful sunset

Enjoy your evenings by the beach. The Shacks are playing soft music or reggae, its still very warm, you can just relax, sit back and watch the sunset whilst enjoying a few bevvies, a meal or chatting with your newly made friends, a perfect end to a perfect day.
