Mackies Night Market is a must if you are into the market experience - whilst there are many markets in Goa the night market is a different experience.
See the stalls in the light of electric light bulbs, enjoy the unique atmosphere, the music, a cold beer and possibly some of the freshly cooked food - jacket potatoes to tandoori to chinese.
In season the market runs from late afternoon to late at night and music is available from a live band.

Partying on the beach with hundreds of people,it was madness with lots of friendly people from all over the world. With the locals only to happy to join in until the sun came up. The partys were easy to find on the beach/forest, not as big as they used to be so i was told but still very enjoyable.

My opinion is that nightlife in Goa varies such alot on the resorts that you are going to be staying in :
For example the resorts in the south tend to be more laid back and quieter whereas the north tends to be more lively.
However even here dont expect it to be too lively, nightlife for us tended to be a meal in one of the lovely restaurants followed by a Kingfisher beer in one of the local bars.
Alot of the entertainment is centred around the hotels therefore choosing the right resort and hotel is important .

Enjoy your evenings by the beach. The Shacks are playing soft music or reggae, its still very warm, you can just relax, sit back and watch the sunset whilst enjoying a few bevvies, a meal or chatting with your newly made friends, a perfect end to a perfect day.

During the monsooons, we discovered that nightlife is practically non-existent. The flip side is that the rain creates its own magic with music and sound effects. Sitting on the balcony of the guesthouse and listening to the night sounds as the rain pitter-patters on the roof, and crickets chirp away merrily, while fireflies light up the night sky and the trees swish gently in the breeze is like being the exclusive audience to Nature's Orchestra...And after a good rain, the frogs too join in with some lusty singing! Money won't buy you anything better than this virtuoso performance!
Dress Code: Wear something cool and comfortable and slap on a lot of mosquito-repellent, a drink at your side with lots of muchies and enjoy!

As the beaches on the Goan coast face west, you get some lovely sunsets so I took advantage of this, one evening, after spending the day on the beach.
