What can we say... the best meal we have ever had!!
Seriously... we heard lots of good reviews before we went to All spice and had high expectations.. and boy were they met!
Its quite a simple quaint place and the setting isnt spectacular but the food and service do all the talking.
Ask for Vinny or Girish.. well you cant miss them, they will make you feel so welcome the moment you arrive and are just soooo cool, they can make any orders you want if its not on the menu too!
If you do anything in Goa... go to All spice!

My wife and i was in north goa for 5 months in which time we ate at many restuarants.One of our favourite was Lazy Days at calungute opposite csm hotel.it is spotlessly clean and a veried menu.We only ate vegetarian but our friends ate fish/chicken and had no complaints.Also for music lovers the owners had an excellent sound system playing varios types of music.
All the vegertarian food was excellent.Some people asked me where the best place i had eaten and i always said lazy days.I said to them if you go there to eat and you dont like it i would pay for it,but no one asked me to pay for there meal as they enjoyed it. Described as a 'family restaurant'. which seems to mean every style of food, Indian, Continental, Chinese, served in bright A/C surroundings. If you like a typical english indian this is the place to go. Extensive menu, try their different tikkas, dal makhani, rogan josh. Service good though a few too many waiters for me. Sit outside under the fans if you want to be quiet.

All Spice is a place I kept hearing about, I passed it many times and when I did eat there I was not dissapointed it is really as good as all the hype. I would strongly suggest booking a table. It gets packed but this does not effect the service.

The first restaurant I visited in Goa and one I keep returning to.
For an experience you can sit by the tree that grows through the centre of the front eating area and watch the world go by or for a quieter meal use the upstairs dining area.

The Capricorn is one of the best Restaurants in Calangute. It has a wide choice of foods like Goan, Indian, Chinese. It is very cheep to eat there and thats why it's allways busy. Not very often mentioned but this little shack near the Calangute steps is possibly the best shack on the North Goan beach. The food is sumptious and the service is wonderful, Kamil will not let you even pour your own beer or move your table. When we return every year all the lads come out to welcome us as does Mama who hovers around doing massages and cheap jewellry. You can spend a whole day there being pampered, fed, looked after for under a tenner.
All the food is delicious, try the vegetarian ones or fish dishes. Live music and a huge assortment of Indian and continental dishes, including soups and salads, chicken/seafood/beef dishes and assorted desserts. Reservations are essential. I stayed here on both my visits to Goa and the bonus of a good restaurant next to my room was all i could have wished for. Steve the owner is a really nice guy who will help solve any problems you may have, his staff are mainly Nepalese so you guessed it , really helpfull and always smiling. The food is not as cheap as some places but the quality makes up for that. The menu is very varied with plenty of Fish, meat and veggie dishes and there is also an on site bakery which makes the most delicious chocolate cake . Rooms can be rented prices depending on budget to what you want , all are clean and comfortable and the staff really look out for you , i stayed alone for a few months and they made sure i felt safe and comfortable, i would recommend women staying here also as Steve is a no nonsense kind of fella who will keep an eye out for you.One downside is that Steve runs a lot of trance parties so if that is not your scene i suggest staying elsewhere (1 lasted 5 days)
My favourite dishes were Beef chillie fry and chicken tikka on naan bread was yummy at about 70 rupees, I would recommend the fish as well , many Goans come here for them so they must be up to scratch.
