Panjim Inn is a little pension in an old colonial house in Fontainhas quartier. It is a hotel and a restaurant with a delicious wooden terrace at the first floor. Here you can try local specialities.
Favorite Dish: For dessert, try the BEBINCA, a famous typical dessert from Goa, veeeery sweet. Delicious!!

We ate and drank a few times at the 24 hour bar World Food Court (next door to the Somy Resort Hotel) where Abhi (The Manager) and the rest of his staff where always eager to please, even going as far as getting Pizza’s delivered from Dominoes upon request. The menu is varied offering Indian, Goan, Chinese and Continental. The food at the bar was excellent

This is by far the best restaurant in the Arpora area. Great atmosphere...good mix of cuisines, although the Indian dishes are the best...and great music.
Be warned...it tends to get packed out most nights, as a lot of customers are frequent visitors ever since it opened in 2002...if you get there before 8pm you should get a table.
Favorite Dish: Where do you start...great steaks (Beef, Chicken, Pork, & Lamb) all served with Indian style mash and cabbage; the Chicken Chettinad is lovely, fresh fish & lobster...I just love all the curries!A...and they probably have the best range of kebabs in Goa! If you are going to have a starter I highly recommend the Prawns 65, and the Spicy Chile Beef!

Based in south Calangute this is a delightful restaurant, and offers full silver service. Its not cheap...but definately worth a visit, and they have an extensive wine list.
Favorite Dish: I love the imported steaks here, but my faves are the Orange Souffle, and the Chocolate Mousse!
NB I took some friends here in November 2010, and both the food & service was terrible!

AMAZING FOOD! AMAZING LOCATION! AMAZING PEOPLE! AMAZING TIME!
Till date, it is the best food I never had in Goa. So gooooooood!
Owners are a young couple. She is from Mumbai and he is from Sweetzerland.
And they make amazing food from sushis to steak with morilles sauce from himachal Pradesh! Never saw that anywhere in India. OOOuuuaaahhh!
And their lasagna.... better than in Roma!
The location is also amazing.... On a small hill in Ashwem, overlooking the Arabian Sea and a huge coconut field...
The best place to spend a lovely and gastronomic shanti day in Goa.

This is the most wonderful chinease restaurant you will ever visit in your life. its small, friendly and exquisit. a full selection of chinease dishes made with the best quality freshest ingredients. Its a small, patio restaurant with fairy lights and candle lamps, in keeping with its surroundings. The boss man is Michael, a very happy friendly man, very hospitable. This is a first class no frills establishment. My last meal would be one of his.
Favorite Dish: spicy chilly beef. this is to die for. the beef is melt in the mouth soft just bursting with flavour.

Update: Recently visited Britto's and I'm sad to say it was not up to its usual standards. The food was cold and the usually good desserts were mediocre. They have also covered the whole top of the restaurant which makes it very dark inside and takes away from the "beachy" atmosphere. I'd like to chalk the bad food up to a bad day in the kitchen so would still give it a try when in Baga.
Britto's is a casual restaurant located right on the beach at Baga. It's definitely one of my favorite places in Goa. It is a large place - not quite like a typical shack. They serve Goan, Continental, Indian, and Chinese dishes. The food is very good and reasonably priced. The Goan curry and vindaloo dishes are very good but my favorites are the continental chicken dishes. There are very good desserts - chocolate mousse, pies, etc. so be sure to save some room!
Britto's is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and I love going there for breakfast. It's wonderfully relaxing to feel the sand between your toes while watching the action on the beach. You are literally steps from the beach.
Service is very good and the staff are really friendly.
Britto's is a MUST visit while in Goa!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Goa. Located in Angels Resort which is between Panaji and Candolim, the open air restaurant is a great casual place for dinner.
They serve delicious Goan dishes as well as other cuisines. We lived nearby for two years and ordered from here many, many times. My favorite dishes were the chicken korma and egg curry. The restaurant is inexpensive. I highly recommend trying the restaurant.
It is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is also a bar. Staff is very friendly.
