This is by far the best restaurant in the Arpora area. Great atmosphere...good mix of cuisines, although the Indian dishes are the best...and great music. Be warned...it tends to get packed out most nights, as a lot of customers are frequent visitors ever since it opened in 2002...if you get there before 8pm you should get a table.
Where do you start...great sizzlers...the Chicken Chettinad is lovely, fresh fish & lobster...I just love all the curries! Your table Sir by ricky52 This was our favourite restaurant in Goa. If you visit this place during the day, you will not see it in all its glory. East Meets West comes into its own in the evening. When you walk up the path leading to the restaurant, you get a hint of what is to come. You enter the main open area of the restaurant and then the WOW factor hits you. The lighting and the ambience of the place is staggering. The tables surround a centre stage where the evenings entertainment takes place. The ideal place for a romantic or special meal.
Where do you start? They have Liver Pate as a starter. They have Fillet Steaks that melt in your mouth. They do Indian, Tanoori, Goan & Continental cuisine, and finally the deserts are to die for. My wife's favorite was the Fillet Steak and mine was the Prawns in Spicy Chilli Sauce. We both feel that it does not matter what you eat here, the atmosphere is so good you would enjoy everything. Overall the most enjoyable evening out. Jasmina by goaaddict Alma`s is a small place with just 8 tables and a very warm welcome. It is a family run buisness and Alma`s cooking is superb. When you go there and get to know them you are made to feel like one of the family and again it is another place where they will do anything they can to make your stay a pleasant one. Baga beach is lined from one end to another with these beach bars. All are temporary, built new every season and taken down at the end (as you can see in photo 3), and all look very much the same. The main difference as far as we were concerned was the degree to which the staff hassled you to choose their bar, so we developed a policy of going to one where we weren’t waylaid as soon as we walked nearby bit were left to make up our minds in peace. During the day the bars put out beach chairs so when you choose your chair you also choose your bar. You can order drinks and snacks where you sit, or go into the bar area itself for some welcome shade and a wider choice of refreshments. We had some nice grilled shrimp one day but mostly only drank here. As well as cold drinks during the day, we came several times for a beer at sunset – a very relaxing way to end the day or start your evening. The bar we frequented most was “Travellers’ Rest”, towards the southern end of the beach by our hotel. The staff were very friendly and relatively laid-back, but towards the end of our stay they changed and started to ask us to pay money for hospital treatment for one of their number. We really weren’t sure whether this was genuine or a con, but we felt we were being used so we moved on and drank elsewhere for the last few days. View from Mojo's by ricky52 An English pub, run by an English couple. Kingfisher on draught. Warm and friendly atmosphere. A great place to eat when you desire some comfort food. They have a book exchange library which is free, or if you don't have a book to exchange, you can borrow one
A full English breakfast. Pie, Chips, Mushy Peas and real Gravy. Ideal for when you have had enough spicy food and want to get back to basics. by BluBluBlu This place has been here for donkeys years...orinally a small shack, its now moved up onto the end of the Benaulim beach road. NB. If anyone is wondering about the photo...its a pic of the original Pedro's as it looked back in 1986, not the current brick built version.
The fish & seafood dishes are fantastic...washed down with a cold Kingfisher! Leave a Comment

Entrance to After 8 by ricky52 This was without doubt, the best food we had in Goa. Not the cheapest place to eat, but if want something just a little bit special, this is it. Don't be put off by the little dirt track that leads down to the restaurant. Once inside you will see that it is very pleasant. Service is excellent and attentive. I am sorry that I could not provide a better photograph
All the food is cooked in an open style kitchen. It is great to see all the chefs cooking away in open view. Again very difficult to single out what was the best meal, everything was excellent. Not to be missed. A Grand Entrance by ricky52 Not one of the cheapest placs to eat in Goa. The restaurant has 3 dining area's. Inside is air conditioned. Upstairs they have a large hall for special events and parties. They have entertainment on every night. Service is excellent and attentive
Varied menu from local food to Chinease, Indian. Lobster and tiger prawns are the specials of the restaurant. All the food was excellent, hard to single out a particular meal. The best Goan food in Goa. It is home cooked and cooked with lots of feel. The owner and chef Mr. Ivan Lawrance is an ex-professor in Goa catering college and served on cruise ships for over 20yrs. His wife Ms. Lumina does most of traditional dishes. Very nice place to eat a quiet dinner feeling a local atmosphere. Advance reservation recommended.
