One of the most tranquil and quiet beaches I went to. It is a beautiful place to go and just right if you want to get away from the hagglers and constant barrage of cafe workers getting you to use their beach lounges. At Asvem (Ash-vem), there is only 2 little areas to lay out and sit down. There are more around the corner of a rocky outcrop but that is the beauty of it. It is the perfect place to get away from it all. There are some beach hut resorts nearby and is easily accessible by road.
If Bagga beach gets a bit much for you and you fancy a quieter beach you can always try one of the beaches further north that are in easy striking distance.
One such beach is Asvem beach, a few shacks, a couple of sellers and nothing much else.
We use the Golden Eye shack (had the best biriani there) a few beers, pots of tea and a meal for 2 will be about 500rs and nothing is too much trouble.
