Visit the new children's home in Karaswada called the 'Mango House'. Children Walking Tall is a brand new charity and in this drop in centre you with see children with big smiles on their faces playing with lots of toys. The building is starting to be used as a drop in centre for street and slum children and in the future will be a permanent home for children under the age of 10 years. They love visitors so please drop in

I visited two slum areas with a charity called Children Walking Tall. They bought apples, oranges, banana's and sweets for all the children on the journey.
When we arrived all the children were very happy to see us and welcomed us with lots of happy faces and handshakes.
It was a great day and I thoroughly recommend anyone to contact Children Walking Tall and ask them to take you on a visit to the slums. You could also help them out by buying fruit for distribution or bringing extra clothes and things in your suitcases.

Children Walking Tall is a charity helping improve the lives of street children. Pop in and visit them or contact them to see the happy smiley faces of children of all ages. The children are very happy and if any of you would like to see a different side to Goa then one of the members of staff will happily take you to visit the local slums or markets where children often work. It is an eye opener, and for all of you that think it will be too upsetting then think again. The children greet you with big smiling faces and love having some attention for a while. They are all happy as they have food, clothes and toys to play with. Visit them...... its great fun!!!

If you are a regular to Goa, or if you are planning your first visit and would like to help rebuild the life of one of the many Goan street kids then check out this website...

Or if you are in Goa why not pop into All Spice Restaurant in Arpora and leave a donation with Vinnie.

    You know it makes sense!

    NB. Update July 2006
Vinny & Giresh from All Spice restaurant have just completed a 10,500 miles motorbike ride around India on behalf of the charity! Go to the website and click on 'news' for updates.
