  • Sancha Tea Boutique: Fresh Indian Gourmet Teas

by SanchaTea Written Jan 3, 2014

    Teetotalers Tavern

Delhi's famed Aap Ki Pasand Tea Gallery by Master Tea Taster, Sanjay Kapur has launched in 2013 its first tea boutique in Gurgaon at DLF Cross Point Mall, christened the Sancha Tea Boutique.

A true teetotalers tavern! As you climb up to the second floor, you go past beer and coffee bars and then arrive at the oasis built with a parisian look. Both corporates and plebeians can walk in to select teas for drinking or gifting. A trained tea sommelier guides you to the right selection. The boutique also serves (complimentary) any tea of your choice or several until you say i have had enough!
If you want to take tea the proper english way, you have a choice between white, green, oolong and the world's finest black teas. All teas are packed in a sophisticated way befitting the league of the designer jewelry. Amongst the green teas and white teas on sale, there are over 10 botanical blends of green and white teas with flowers, spices and flavours.

The colours and materials used in the store are reminiscent of a paris tea house and the soft music builds your mood to tranquility.

The Store also has on offer over 50 varietal teas which include 10 flavours of the now popular green teas (Indian and Chinese) as well as the healthy white and oolongs. Taking Centre stage are the huge variety of black teas selected from the diverse terroirs India has to offer. Tea Tasting is complimentary at the store and customers can sip on a variety of teas while they listen to a selection of music or speak with the trained tea sommelier.

What to buy: The Darjeeling Selections, the Masala Chai, the beautiful tea pots, and healthy green teas.

What to pay: Rs. 200- 2000

    Gurgaon Malls: At the malls

by Scarlie Written Nov 12, 2005

There are three of four big malls in small proximity - MFG, City Centre, Plaza, Regent Square - which cater for all tastes and needs. Whether you are looking for traditional crafts or hip local clothes, books, travel bags (for that extra shopping you are going to do), you'll find that you need there. The opening hours are generally between 11:30am and 9pm.

What to buy: local handmade crafts, fabric, clothes, CDs, DVDs, etc.

What to pay: The main advantage for me is that you don't bargain. All prices are inclusive of taxes.
