Gurgaon Things to Do
Perfect place for a day outing!!
Ever since it opened about 2-3 years back I had always wanted to visit this place but some or the other way it eluded me. Finally got a chance to visit when one of my friends gave her birthday treat to me right there :D
This is a place that will easily consume your whole day. Different areas with themes in relation to different regions/states of India gives a glimpse of the varied culture of our country. Each section has it's own section that serves food from the corresponding local cuisine (had some real tasty stuff there). Also a perfect place for small kids and family for a day outing specially in summers as it's air conditioned and a good getaway during hot hot Indian summers.
At regular intervals there are small acts/dances/performances showcasing the diversity of Indian art and culture. Loved the Bhangra and Kashmiri dance there.
The ticket is priced at Rs. 499 during weekdays and Rs. 599 during weekends. The fee includes the same amount of non-refundable spend value to be consumed at Culture Gully (the area which I have showcased in the pics. It also has a big theatre but couldn't visit it last time and the ticket for the same is different).
It's closed on Mondays.Related to:

B Block Shusant Lok-1, Gurgaon, 122001, IN
Good for: Families
Its a place which may be called value for money at its best and if you are not going at the right time its usually dull and quite boringI went to drink some freshly brewed beer which when compared to some other locations was no match (although it wasn't bad either)Chili potato was usual stuff while Hummus & Pita were above average. Jalapeno Cheese...more
As we entered it felt like a good place to sit for a while chilling out with your friends and please your tummy without burning your pockets much (it's quite reasonable). But then being reasonable doesn't allow you to be complacent with taste. We ordered Murgh Malai Tikka, Seekh Kebab Kathi Roll and Paneer Roll of which the later two were well below...more
Had been to few breweries, all in Gurgaon but this had something unique to offer. As the name suggests it has a cricket theme and for a nation that's crazy for this sports and plays some or the other format round the year, such a Pub is bound to be a craze. The ambiance, loud music, the crowd, the food and the BEER everything would make you...more
Not so authentic Filter Coffee made me move away from this place but considering dilli standards it was OK.But then after few rounds we came back and had Signature Masala Dosa (difference between Masala Dosa and Signature 'wala' is Gunpowder). Dosa looked great by looks but tasted just fine. Crispy and tasty and "Gunpowder" (just that some of who...more
Always had this idea/dream in my mind during college days as I had always been a "chai" lover and it's heartening to see the concept is being used in several places across India finally and they are moving over "just coffee cafes" now. I liked that the menu was brief avoiding any confusions and had just 4-5 varieties of tea at offer (usually the...more
A great place to take your family or business parthner. Tasty food, nice service. Wonderful desighn of the restaurant makes it truly Asian. It locates inside the shopping mall, so you may also buy something and then have some nice dinner. Candle light dinners are also available, nice place to sit with your loved one and just speak. 1. Now again this can be added to the restaurant tips but I felt it to be more close to giving the experience of a great nightlife. Also only thing I had here was Beer (I may add something about food in future when I visit again but I have heard that it's real good too). Knock Out (my all time favorite Wheat beer...although it wasn't the best I have...more
Although this is a great place to hang out with friends for food and drinks but for me it's one of the best places to go for Bowling and that has always been my reason to visit this place.Ticket pricing varies from Rs.150 during day time in weekdays to Rs.250/300 in night during weekends. But I have chosen to have this review placed in "nightlife"...more
Delhi Metro & Rapid Metro
The fastest and cheapest means (and also the most comfortable in non peak hours) would be to take a Metro from several stations around Delhi. All stations of Gurgaon (ARJANGARH, GURU DRONACHARYA, SIKANDARPUR, M G ROAD, IFFCO CHOWK, HUDA CITY CENTRE) are on the Yellow Line of Delhi Metro which also has big stations like Central Secretariat, New Delhi, Rajeev Chowk and Kashmiri Gate.
Sikanderpur metro station on the yellow line links the Delhi metro with Gurgaon Rapid Metro which is operated by Rapid MetroRail Gurgaon Limited (RMGL), India's first fully privately financed metro.
As of now only one route is operational for Rapid Metro while two others will be in operation soon. Current route:
Phase 2>Vodafone Belvedere Towers>IndusInd Bank Cyber City>Micromax Moulsari Avenue>Phase 3
Several other station will be added very soon.Related to:

Gurgaon What to Pack
Cold or Hot
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Sep/Oct is a nice weather period where you could go around with just a shirt.
In Dec/Jan, the weather there can be a little cold within the range of 18 in the day and 5 degree at night. Bring along extra clothing or sweater if you are going there during this period. Alternatively, you can buy these winter clothing relatively cheap there.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Always drink from bottled water.Related to:
