Please be warned that if you are travelling by public bus to Jodpur from Udaipur etc that when you arrive you will be absolutely attacked by touts trying to get you into their hotels. Ive have NEVER seen anything like this situation in all my travels and they even try to jump into the bus to get a look at the foreigners. So if you are a person that is intimidated by tenacious touts then get your hotel to meet you if possible. Most will do this because they know that Jodpur has a reputation for hassling tourists. If you cant arrange this meeting then tell them you are staying at the Govind Hotel (excellent budget hotel) because they all know it is excellent and they all know it is a great choice ;) GOOD luck.
