Most agree this is the best place to eat in Badrinath. You can tell from the crowds and repeat faces of customers you see every time you dine. They come back for more. Almost everything is good, except their Chinese food. Hot drinking water is served in jugs -- everything chills fast here :) At least visit once for the delightful views from the windows right next to your table.

This is one of a few places to eat on the main approach to the temple, and I had here one of the best mixed vegetable dishes I've ever had. They also let you sit for hours with just a cup of tea, while you wait for the rain to stop and the chill in your toes to thaw...

Kedarnath like Gangotri is also a place of pilgrimage. Eggs, meat products, onions, garlic are strictly not allowed.
Alcohol is not allowed anyhwere near too. If you are complusive drinker then its advisable to stock up way before and drink somewhere far away from pr(a)ying eyes.
Favorite Dish: Simple vegeterian food is available all over kedarnath. prefer aloo, gobhi paranthas (minced or mashed potato, cauliflowers) wheat panacakes with hot steaming tea.
