on the antional highway 17 NH17 travelling from mumbai to goa one takes a sharp left turn at vadkhal which is a junction. the other road to right goes to alibag a popular tourist destination.
just after vadkhal naka which is also famous for batata vadas a indian delicacy(spicy hot fried potatoes in chickpea batter),comes a straight stretch of road upto nagothane.
usually during summertime this is the most drab stretch of the very beautiful mumbai goa road, but cometh the monsoon this very stretch turns itself into a ricebowl carpeting otself in hues of fresh green.
