    If you love sweets, there is nothing like Bengal Sweets. Made of pure milk, cottage cheese,khoya, pure butter and the touch of Nadia Sweetmeat maker ( This district of Bengal is very famous for excellent sweets traditionally for 700/800 years), makes the sweets heavenly and fit to be offered to God. Just try and feel the difference. Try out their Rassogolla made of date palm jaggery, Sandesh, Jalebi made of Cottage Cheese, Laddu made of Pure Ghee ( purified butter), Vegetarian Cake, Gulab Jamuns and so on. Believe me it is just heavenly!!

    Apart from these they also make and serve Ekadashi Meal ( A meal to be taken by Hindu widows and those who fast on the eleventh ( Ekadashi) day of Lunar Month as per Vedic Hundu customs.

    Ekadashi Meal for Hindu widows to be taken on 11th Waterful Sandesh, a Bengal speciality. The Sweetmeats,  varieties of Sandesh on display The Sweetmeats,  varieties of Sandesh on display! The Restaurant from Inside.

Mayapur Transportation

  • How to go to Mayapur.

    Going to Mayapur Dham is very easy from all parts of India. From Calcutta there are numerous trains going to Krishnagar city ( From Sealdah to North bound). From Krishnanagar you can take a taxi or bus to Mayapur Dham ( 25kms). Or if you want to go by road directly to Mayapur, you can do so by taking a bus from Esplande Bus Turminus to Mayapur....

  • The Bullock Cart Tour.

    If you are interested you can buy ticket for Bullock Cart tour in and around ISCON, Mayapur temple. They take you around in improvised Bullock Cart drawn by very strong Bulls. Ticket Rs.15 per head. It is approved by ISCON and the God!

    From this shop you can buy the products, medicines made from Cow milk, urine. You can buy Ghee( purified butter), Go Ark ( purified cow urine with medicinal value, cures asthama, hypertension), Honey ( produced at ISCON), Tooth Powder, ISCON souvenier etc.

    What to pay: Ghee priced at Rs.240/- per KG ( USD 6 per KG)

    Goshala Shop. Cow products. Ghee, Go Ark & Honey being sold all very pure.

Mayapur Local Customs

  • Chanting of Hare Krishna & Parikrama.

    There is procession taken out everyday a several times to chant Hare Krishna and take a round ( Parikrama) of the temple premises. Any one can participate in the parikrama and take Lord's name.

  • Attending Discourse at Mayapur!

    You can attend spiritual lectures on Vedanta or Divine life at Mayapur. Everyday there is some learned scholar on Vedanta gives discourse to all the willing devotees or the interested ones! You may participate too. It is given in English, Bengali and in Hindi. The scholars are highly learned and satisfy your querries till the time you satisfy.

  • Don't Forget Insurance

    If your current health insurance doesn't cover you while your abroad, you should consider getting international travel insurance just in case something should go wrong.
