In Mumbai can recommend the Oberoi and particularly the nightclub at the Taj... In many nightclubs you must bring a female for each male you want to bring in !!! so go hunting in the streets already early afternoon.In Chennai... bring a book! (the city turns off the light around 20:00 when the cows go home)'Interesting' local brands of beer (causes immense headaches but are cheap), and liquors... stay away from ice and drink them warm... (causes dramatic diarhea!)Above mentioned hotels have international brews.. unique ? in India yes

Delhi, Mumbai, Goa, Bangalore have great night life. In Delhi you should go near Cannaught Palace area and you should be able to find several clubs. You can ask anyone (be friendly, they won't bite you). People in India like speaking English. Atmosphere is very cosmopolitan. Do not be surprised if someone offers you a free drink or a tea. It's pat of Indian culture. We take care of guests.Try not to mess with anyone in clubs. Some People (not everyone) carry guns and India does not has strict arms control. The police will be very helpful to tourists if they put a complain. Contact your consulates if the police gives you ANY problem.

Nightlufe in Bombay: its always rocking but petty in south bombay night life ends at 2 am other wise it goes on till weeee hrs you have many places to choose from..for rock lovers there is GHETHO's,for trance fans we have HQ,for real party animal there is Fire&ICE , Mikanos etcgood music and open till 4 am and offcourse for Jazz lovers there is INDIGOcheckin the wine tasting fest at INDIGO there no nosense for dresscode ..

Why not go and see a Bollywood film? It's an utterly different experience from cinema-going at home. For a start, everyone talks, eats, boos and cheers throughout the whole film. You may not understand a word but the camera-work is not subtle and you'll certainly be able to follow the broad outline of the plot. And the music is so catchy!

Nightlife in any of the big cities, especially Bombay is top rate and you will find an abundance of clubs and bars... And if you're in Goa, you have to check out the raves known throughout the world.. Goa trance specific to this region and is known globally.

hmm well India is kinda stuck in the 70's when it comes to night life.. There is disco.. still popular.. Night life in India means buncha guys or buncha girls go to a restaurant and eat, then hang out somewhere drolling over other guys or girls.. :) Well, the thing is that, the groups will mostly have most males or most girls.. few times, if you are lucky, you'll find the both together:) It goes back to the whole culture of not dating.. God forbid you are caught even talking to a guy being a girl, you'll be shamed by your whole family and society and people will snicker and talk about you and your family will have to marry you off against your will or you'll have to run away.. You get the point:) If you are in to disco.. they still wear polyester:) FULLY CLOTHED if you don't want to be arrested or snickered at or have people make a scene in a public place disresepecting you..

Since Shimla is an old english hillstation there are several pubs. If you are a woman, be prepared to be the only one among lots of Indian lawyers, doctors, businessmen... Fun!Dharamsala also has places to go for a beer, the difference being you'll find yourself drinking with fellow travellers. Also a nice alternative!
