This place does not need any introduction because everyone seems to know about it. Very popular. Comfortable environment. Food is prepared fresh and with care.
What I liked best was their bakery; the cheese cake needed more sugar but the banana nut bread was wonderful. I did not get a chance to try their delicious Bowl of Joy, which really wasn't corny on the menu. Their business card reads: Probably the best coffee for many moons. Yes, the coffee was nice and strong!
Relaxed, friendly owner. Open from 7:30am to 6:30pm. Place is closed from mid-May to first week of July. Not many tourists in Pushkar then.
P.S. Just to be clear, the photo is Not of Honey and Spice :)

Recommended by LP, they are known for their pizzas and have plenty of signs on the street so you don't forget it. The bets part is its cool, uninterrupted view of the lake, mountains and city square below because it is higher up than other restaurants. That also means you have enough stairs awaiting you.
As far as the pizza is concerned, it was too crisp and dry for me. You could try telling them not to but you might as well try another place if you want a wood fired pizza. Om Shiva Buffet or Little Italy might be good (haven't tried, though).

It's a matriarchal run place with big portion sizes. The Lady Chief might look tough but is very accommodating and will try her best to help you or your order out. Will not say no. Sshhhh, don't tell anyone, but she can arrange eggs for you too.
If you like dogs, then you can say hello to the very fluffy, smokey colored Labrador lounging there.

Both these places stand side by side, not too far from Varaah ghat. They have 4 menu boards in different languages, so you know they attract a good crowd. Prices are around the same, Rs60-100. They sell a fusion of burrito and falafel; quite filling. It was surprising to see avocados in the middle of Rajasthan!
For some reason Taco Bell Burrito attracts more people but in all fairness they both are very competitive and quite good. Pick either one, but do give it a shot. It's nice to hold a burrito after so long.

The buffet offers solid, wholesome vegies. No kidding around. Soul food but in a temple style sort of way because the dishes are mild and chunky. Good stuff for Rs100 per person. Clean, spacious environment. I personally liked it but for those who want a spicier affair, try another place. They also started to offer wood fired pizzas.

Beautiful view of the pond with a super peppy and happy service. It is hard to ask for more, but if you do, then the food is terrific too. You know the food is given thought when the menu's cover reads: All dishes prepared with love by Raju. =)
It's vegetable shepherds pie is famous and now I can tell you for good reason. The curries were delicious too and the spices can be customized to your palette of the moment. Do give this place a try.
It was strange to hear them play the ambient music of Krishna Das and Nina Hagen there because I have tracks by them too.

After eating at the superb Rainbow restaurant the night before, I came here with the thought that this place had to do a lot to win me over. I had a "Shepherd's Pie", which in England is normally made from minced beef, but here was strickly a veggie dish so it was merely vegetables and a mashed potato and melted cheese top. Not bad but not quite the same as back home. This place is very busy with just one guy rushing around all the tables so service isn't brilliant. They had apple crumble on the menu but this wasn't available when I tried ordering it so I left and went back to the Rainbow to have their brilliant hot banana crumble instead.

A nifty little place you have to walk up to the third floor to eat there. It as a nice view, and a laid back attitude. I havent been back since 2005 so I hope it still there because really it was some of the best food I had in India. The food was of good quailty as were the ingredients.
Favorite Dish: I love the eggplant, hummus peta (the fries are actually inside of it too)

We discovered Sanjay Hotel rooftop restaurant after a week and it became our favorite spot. The view is simply the best in Pushkar , you can see the whole lake from here with it being obscured by buildings etc.
The food was good , the portions ample and best of all the prices were very reasonable.
We made this our hang out place for the afternoons and after 3 days found other people had come to the same conclusion ...same faces , same tables every day.
With a glass of Chai being 5 rs a pop I could lose myself in a book all afternoon and not break the bank
Favorite Dish: My wife loved the Special Thali at 60 rs. Its the usual thali fare but the portions were good , food tasty and they were very accommodating to swap this for that , lose the naan add extra chapati's etc .

Venus restaurant serves decent good-value veg dishes (Chinese, Indian and Continental) for breakfast / lunch / dinner. Just around the corner from main post office, on the way to Vishnu Temple. The corridor seats are perfect for a cup of Chai as watching the world goes by.
Favorite Dish: Veg chowmien and veg fried-rice
