Bungee Jump - crazy crazy stuff!!

The last of all the activities provided by Jumpin Heights at Rishikesh is the India's highest Bungee at 83 meters. It's run by a retired Army person and professionals from New Zealand with support from local technicians run the whole setup.

The Bungee jump is the bestest of things one can do while on their visit to Rishikesh. It will cost you around Rs.3000 while a Trilogy Combo (Bungy+Swing+Flying Fox) would cost around Rs. 6000

A must do for those who wish to overcome their fear of heights :D

The Video : Bungee Jump 83 meters high

PS: The main crew members Christina and Mark were really supportive, cheery and well trained to carry out the stuff.

83 meters high and a huge Tarzan Swing...only thing I couldn't do was howl like Tarzan himself lol!! The reason being it was so damn crazy and exhilarating that somehow I lost my voice for those 5-10 seconds of my plunge into awesomeness.

After finishing Flying Fox this surely was a level up. Again a must do when in Rishikesh.

For the video of the same Tarzan Swing video

    Flying Fox @160 kmph

by udtaparindaa Written Jun 3, 2014

Perfect way to start the adventure package offered by Jumpin Heights located about 14 kms from Rishikesh. They provide the free shuttle service to reach the spot.

The setup has Flying Fox, Swing and Bungee on offer and Flying Fox is surely the thing to start off with to remove your initial fears and hesitation for the remaining acts. Even though cabled with another person a plunge into the small valley at 160 kmph electrifies you and charges you for the next two events. A must do for starters :D

Cliff Jumping into the biggest river of India

by udtaparindaa Updated Jun 2, 2014

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

one of the smaller cliffs :)

The most scary part of this trip, even more than Bungee after-all had to jump in the largest river of India. Usually there are about 3-4 spots after the Rafting rapids end and before "Ram Jhula" and all are of varying heights. Select the one you wish to go for and plunge into awesomeness.

I have seen cliff jump videos of much greater heights than the one that is done here but then this is the river Ganga and no one messes with it :P

Loved it to the core :D

Caution: you have to make it to the land yourself and there would be no one guiding or assisting you. The guys who take you for the rafting are the ones who will just be present there to oversee the whole activity and will indulge only in case of emergency.

Equipment: Life Jacket and maybe even goggle (individual preference)

Almost everyone comes to Rishikesh for the Yoga lessons and meditation classes. There are a mind-blowing number of places to study and a thousand Gurus to study under. We spoke to a Hindu businessman, on the train to Haridwar; he told us it took him seven years to find the right guru for him. Apart from the spiritual improvement, Rishikesh is on the edge of the Garhwal Himalayas and offers fantastic walking, climbing and terrifying white water river rafting.
