Last evening we joined the group of other guests from the hotel around the bonfire. It was a very cold night but the fire was in full blaze and kept us warm .
We got to know each other over a few Kingfisher beers. These beers are the liter size which was fine with us. We were a small group of two British couples and the two of us. Crazy Canucks .
Early Jan is a quiet time here , Infact today we are the only guests. It’ll be a quet night I guess. Anyway we had a great time telling our safari tales and travel stories. We even compared notes on deals to be had at the various markets. I’m suspecting I overpaid at the hotel shop for a pair of siver and amber earings . $40.00 doesn’t sound like a deal anymore but not problem , I really like them .
We enjoyed our dinner at outside at the fire too. We are happy to have no stomach problems so far . It speaks volumns for the cook. Our guide / hotel manager named Happy said he visited another hotel who had entertainment last night and he returned he saw us gabbing and laughing by the fire and said we seemed to be having a far better time .It was a wonderful evening and 10PM when we finally turned in.

Address: Tiger Moon Resort
With game drives starting at 6 am, most people would retire to bed after dinner. For those hardy souls who wanted some wild nightlife, there was a makeshift bar in the grounds and drinks would be served on the lawns.
One night a couple of musicians were playing to a small audience, with a young boy trying to entice a very reluctant group of tourists to join him in a traditional dance.

Get that car out and go for a drive in the moonlight!
We were extremely lucky in that we happened to drive on a full moon night. For almost fifty kilometres, we were chasing a gigantic full moon that entirely filled our vision through the windscreen.

You leave the lodge in the village around six am, and enter the park while it is till dark. The sun rises around 6.30, and you will hopefully be somewhere spectacular at that stage.
