Indus is the multicuisine restaurant of Ellaa Suites, which is a four star hotel in Hyderabad. The decor of the restaurant is not anything to write home about, but they serve up a scrumptious, delicious and extensive buffet every night and that is why they deserve to be recommended to my fellow travellers!
Favorite Dish: They have a ala-carte menu as well, but I strongly suggest that you go for the buffet. The spread included chinese, north indian, south indian as well as continental dishes and each one was equally good. The dessert presentation was quite eccentric with desserts shaped in the form of the eiffel tower, a dragon, a tree made of chocolate etc.
The buffett sports an extensive spread for both the vegetarian and the non-vegetarian palletes. The dishes I particularly liked were the veg manchurian, the salad of corn and capsicum and the rice with lentils. The restaurant is pretty reasonably priced and is good value for money.

It is dining aboard a vintage train. The decor of the restaurant is in the form of a luxury train straight out of the British Raj, complete with stewards and waiters dressed as ticket checkers and conductors. The restaurant is divided into two sections. The outer section is the railway station and the inner section are the train carriages. Experience an interesting tryst with history when dining here.
Favorite Dish: The menu has some interesting names and unfortunately I do not remember the name of the dish I had, but the preparation was of vegetarian koftas in a nice and creamy fenugreek gravy with whole wheat rotis. My friend has had the rajputana laal maas and the butter chicken here and is a big fan. The food is delicious, authentic and not very expensive. Do not forget to end your meal with a mitha paan to complete the experience. You might want to reserve a table in advance as the waiting can extend upto an hour or more. The restaurant is located right next to a pub called firangipani. If you do end up having to wait for very long, go ahead and enjoy some drinks in the pub. They play popular rock and pop music and its a nice place to chill out while waiting to satisfy your rumbling tummy.

Had read a lot of praises about Alankrita, the ‘Ethnic Gateway’ on the net so thought I would explore it on my 1st Anniversary…must say had a terrible experience! The hospitality is quite hostile. One of my personal belongings got stolen from the premises…only because of the callousness of the security staff…it was quite evident they were sleeping on duty. Even if I forgive that, the worst part came when I tried to pursue it with the Management. The Management simply tried to put the blame on me and completely disowned any responsibility for loss of goods from their premises. When it comes to taking money, these guys take more than the rent charges as advance in case you break or damage any of their ‘Ethnic’ décor. But if some of your personal belongings get stolen from inside their premises, its your tough luck! You just shouldn’t have gone there in the first place! These guys will simply turn a blind eye to it. They only know how to take care of their own property…not you. So if you are planning to go there…beware! You may end up regretting the idea.

Located on the outskirts of the twin cities of Hyderabad n Secunderabad, this restaurent is a welcome change in the never ending list of hotels in Hyderabad. The owners here call it the Ethnic Gateway n the feel is the same as such. Constructed by artisans over a period of over 2 years, it has something for everybody. You can spend a pleasant evening at thier restaurents, be with nature, indulge yourself in arts n crafts center, meditate and relieve stress at the ayurvedic massage center, or just take sedate walk through the beautiful gardens. They offer holiday packages with good facilites and ambience for the body n soul.
Favorite Dish: I had ordered Nizami vegetable curry, which was perfectly done with just about spice to make me sweat. Took the butter naan with it and apollo fish. Food is good, what makes it an icing on the cake is the ambience. We had our dinner at Prakruta, the well side restaurent. But i was really amazed that they did not have halal meat, strange, cos they are doing business in Hyderabad! and i had to eat veg cos of that

Found this restaurant on the outskirts of the city. They have all kinds of facilities to make your visit a memorable one.
You can have a plesant evening at the restaurant, stay at the deluxe and studio cottages, which are totally private and enclosed with flower beds and lawns, have a drink or two at the lounge bar, choose from bric-a-brac, handicrafts and furniture at the arts and crafts gallery, go for a dip at the swimming pool, try diverse styles of massage at the ayurvedic massage centre, jive your blues off at the dance floor, have a reflective moment at the meditation centre and even get married at the mandap.
The only disadvantage is that they don't serve halal food, and a person prefering just that will be disappointed, I guess they might lose on customers if you continue to do so.
Favorite Dish: Stick to fish if you prefer halal.
