There was a time when people usually came to Hyderabad to buy Pearls. They still do. But, today, there is more to the city than just Pearls. Shopping malls become increasingly popular, while food store chains and departmental stores slowly edge out the small time kirana merchants.
The main shopping areas in Hyderabad are Abids, Basheerbagh, Nampally and Sultan Bazar, and MG Road and Rashtrapati Road in
Secunderbad. The markets around Charminar are favoured for bangles and pearls.
What to buy: The Cottage Industries Exposition (CIE) at Begumpet, is a good place for handicrafts, carpets, furniture, linen and miniature paintings. Worth visiting if you are looking for pottery, fabrics, jewellery.
Zedd's, Regal and Curves are shoe and leather goods shops in the newly developed sections of Road 1, Banjara Hills.
For first quality Kashmiri goods and carpets, visit Kashmir Carpets, also on Road 1, Banjara Hills.

Located in one of the busiest and happening places, this shop is one place in town which specialises in a beautiful collection of fabrics, objects de arts, table and bed linen, wooden furniture, and other home accesories, they even have jute sandals and bags.
What to buy: That's a rather difficult decision...coz once you enter the shop your are nothing but enamoured by the collection and would want to buy everything you can.

Tucked behind trees on a busy road near the Amrutha Circle this one surprises you, a store where u will not get to see thier display board n least publicity, i wonder why. Wrought iron, stylish tea cups, fancy towels, paintings, household items, dinner sets. This place is different, trust me when i say different, it is not the same as so many hindi movie diretors who make a drag n say it is a different movie. I never realized it till i stepped in, so much to choose from, if i ever own a house all that interior deocration stuff will come from here.
What to buy: This one has something for everyone, if not for anything jus go round n have a stroll. Ur bound to pick up something n will definetely be short of cash. All credit cards accepted, hehehee
What to pay: A lil bit on the high side, but its worth it.
