suvarnamukhi river once flowing and glorious has now been dried up and shrivelled with only a few pockets of water here and there. The basin is now a beehive of activity with thriving business for builders..The basin is dug up and sand carted by bullock carts. I counted atleast 6 to 10 in an hour. No body seems to worry about the after effects
