Rishi konda beach is just eight kms from Vizag(Vishakapatnam).the sandy stretches here and the warm waves of the ocean are welcoming for any one who wants to relax. There are a few restaurants near by and also accomodation is available near by(punnami hotel by APTDC,Sai PRIYA resort)
the best thing about rishikonda is that it is not too crowded.

Do make it a point to visit the north end of Beach road where the fresh catch of the day is sold right on the beach. (Provided you can bear the smell of the fish)
Its is great experience watching the vendors bargaining with the fishermen.
I saw an Octopus (about 10ft long) for the first time in my life!

Address: Beach road
So I don't know its real name... naughty me...
We got taken to this beach north of Vizag for a day of fun on the beach.
The sand is clean fairly wide beach... And best of all it's flat enough and firm enough for a game of beach cricket.
We spent a couple of hours here just mucking around.
Only off putting thing of the area are all the prawn farms and fishing industries along the coast to the north and south of the area... Leaves you wondering if the waters are polluted
