The Naval Museum : Vishakha Museum
Naval Museum also known as Swarna Jyoti Museum, a museum about Indian Maritime history, located in the ENC complex in Visakhapatnam is established in 1989. It’s a lovely museum portraying the events related to the Indian Maritime history, pictures and models of warships and other equipments. The museum provides a viewpoint of the maritime history, naval heritage and the growth of the Navy from pre-independence days.
Swarna Jyoti Museum has five sections - eastern seaboard establishments and ports, maritime history, naval archives, ocean resources and Aquaria. The museum encloses the ancient and archaeologically valued artifacts from the sites of Harappa, Lothal and other Indus valley sites.

His , Suresh Productions , is a film production company, a subsidiary of Rama Naidu Studios, founded by Dr. D. Ramanaidu. The production house of the company is Ramanaidu Studios which is located at Hyderabad, India. Suresh Productions, is one of India’s largest film production companies with over 50 years of contribution to national and regional cinema

If you are visiting Vishakhapattanam, this is a must visit place for all. Though , a small studio as compared to Ramoji Film City, this studio has produced hundreds of movies in various Indian languages. The owner Dr. D. Ramanaidu also features in The Guinness Book of World record for producing most films.
This place is situated at the beautiful picturesque Rishikonda Hills of Visakhapattanam city. It's about 13 kms from the city limits. The studios are air-conditioned. There is an entrance fee of Rs. 25/- per person in a car. There is no parking charge.
Daggubati Ramanaidu (born 6 June 1936) is a multilingual Indian film producer. In 2010, he was conferred with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, India's highest award in cinema. The Guinness Book of Records lists him as the most prolific producer with 130 films. He has produced the Bengali film, Asukh in 1999, which won the FIPRESCI Prize at Bombay International Film Festival.He also has an interisting hobby of acting in a Cameo role in his all productions produced in later years.He was born on 6 June 1936 to Daggubati Venkateswarlu and Lakshmi Devamma in Karamchedu in the present-day Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh.
In 1963, he produced his first Telugu film Anuragam, followed by a very successful Ramudu Bheemudu starring N. T. Rama Rao in 1964. Apart from producing Telugu movies, he has also produced movies in languages such as Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali etc.

The Submarine, when afloat runs on Diesel Engine and when under water , it runs on Battery. It's engine room consists of many huge batteries , which can run for hundreds of hours. During war time it does not come out of the under water for months!

This is a must visit place to know and understand, how a soldier lives under a submarine fighting for the country and saving our lives from enemy! The INS Kurusura was commissioned in Indian Navy from Russia in 1969. It served till the '90s, then it was pulled out from the sea and made a live museum for the people!
The soldier has to undergo training for months before he is commissioned in a Submarine as he has to be mentally very very strong. There is every possibility that he may suffer from Claustrophobia.
This place is run by Indian Navy! There is an entrance fee of Rs.40/- per person and if you are interested to take pictures there is additional fee of Rs.50/- for a digital camera and Rs.200/- for a video camera.

Rishi konda beach is just eight kms from Vizag(Vishakapatnam).the sandy stretches here and the warm waves of the ocean are welcoming for any one who wants to relax.There are a few restaurants near by and also accomodation is available near by(punnami hotel by APTDC,Sai PRIYA resort)
the best thing about rishikonda is that it is not too crowded.
Buying fish on the Beach
Do make it a point to visit the north end of Beach road where the fresh catch of the day is sold right on the beach. (Provided you can bear the smell of the fish)
Its is great experience watching the vendors bargaining with the fishermen.
I saw an Octopus (about 10ft long) for the first time in my life!

Beach north of Vizag
So I don't know its real name... naughty me...
We got taken to this beach north of Vizag for a day of fun on the beach.
The sand is clean fairly wide beach... And best of all it's flat enough and firm enough for a game of beach cricket.
We spent a couple of hours here just mucking around.
Only off putting thing of the area are all the prawn farms and fishing industries along the coast to the north and south of the area... Leaves you wondering if the waters are polluted
