Vizag Train station is like any other train station I've seen on the east coast on the way from chennai... One long platform with plenty of people sleeping along the platform strewn everywhere.
Just like everywhere else someone is alway wanting to take your bag from you to 'help'... for a price... but don't let them for the simple reason it is then out of your control. Also it only encourages the begging. Tip some who provides a real service instead. Make their day.

Road rules in India do not exist. It's just common knowledge. The white line in the centre of the road are only a guide. Drivers cross them frequently.
Roundabouts are crazy. Need I say more.
But suprisingly there are few accidents. This is because the locals understand this form of organised chaos.
When you need to get around hire a autorickshaw or a taxi (if there is more than one. Beware though they are out to make a buck so be prepared to bargain strongly. Try asking a local how much they usually charge as a guide or ask the hotel staff and then minus say 20% because even they won't tell you the best prices you're expected to pay.
