The Night Markets sell a wide array of the famous mirrorwork clothing and textiles that Gujerat is famous for. Most of the wares are made in Rahn of Kutch area. The Bead & mirror-work is all done by hand, and is quite exquisite. Long, traditional skirts are a swirl of colour. The markets line the road, and were very busy while we were there. Bargaining is expected, and the prices that I paid were very reasonable.I bought my daughter a choli, which is a short, tight midriff length blouse- and she loved it.It is covered in tiny pieces of mirror.
Food & Chai stalls were busy all night, and atmosphere was festive. We saw not one western tourist on the night we were there.
What to buy: Mirror-work articles of clothing
-handbags
-shawls.
Emroidered & mirrored cushion covers
What to pay: Bargain- within reason. MUCH work goes into the making of these beautiful items.
