Jesal Restaurant at Hotel Prince: The best Non Vegetarian Food at Bhuj
After the earthquake in 2001, Bhuj has been rebuilt with lots of new swanky hotels. Hotel Prince is also one of the 3 star hotels that has come up recently. They have 3 restaurants with separate kitchens and the prices are bit high as it is very clean, frequented by high end tourists from India and abroad. After returning from Kala Dunger , we decided to have non vegetarian food at this hotel as the other hotels which serves non vegetarian food were not up to the mark.
The service is excellent, clean and food was very tasty. They serve Gujarati, Indian and International food in the restaurant. We decided to have North Indian and Munu ( our daughter ) had a Pizza. We had Masala Kulcha and Handi Mutton which was really excellent. They also take all types of cards.
Hotel KBN: World Class Gujarati Thali : Don't miss it at Bhuj
We were pleasantly surprised to stop for lunch at Hotel KBN. We also had our booking there to stay. The restaurant is really a great place to relax and savour the best Gujarati food we ever had ! The restaurant is in the shape of an aircraft cabin, the customers are given a boarding pass to eat. We decided to have Gujarati Thali, it was excellent and very very tasty. The food is unlimited as long as you are not full , they will continue to ask you if you want any of the items! Nice thing! Is n't it?
Though, I am primarily a Non Vegetarian, I had never felt that I am not having Non Vegetarian food. The thali had several vegetables, lentil ( Daal), Chaas ( Butter milk) , Sweets, Dahi Vada, Papad, etc. Please don't miss this food whenever you are in Gujarat or Bhuj.
This exotic Thali costs Rs.200/- or about USD$3.5 per person.

Omelette Market: Just like home . . .
This small restaurant makes up fresh omelettes ~ swimming in butter. Mine was filled with cheese and an Indian twist of spice. . .and it was heavenly.
As lovely as a Gujarati thali is, it's always refreshing to have a taste of something that reminds you of home. This greasy breakfast food ~ eaten as dinner ~ had us in fits of laughter over the amount of oil. The meal probably cost about $1.
