Go warm
Travel as light as possible. Take bags that are rugged and easy to move around as all travel is by road. Be ready for dirt everywhere and a lot of bumps so make sure electronic equipment such as cameras and laptops are in secure bags. Take warm clothes and rain gear. During the day regular t-shirts work fine but nights can get really cool. And if it rains temperatures can drop drastically. If you plan to hike take good sturdy hiking shoes. Sun screen is a must. At that altitude the sun is very strong and one can burn very easily. Basics such as shampoo and detergent is not difficult to find. Ladies you will not find tampons here so it is best to stock up. Although film rolls are more commonly available it is the regular kind. Batteries that are AA are easy to find.
