Unplugged Thrill of Mountain Biking at rough edge

by offbeatentrekker

It was happend when we had a coffee togeather and feel that, there's no thrill in our LIFE after getting off with our steriotype schedule Ekk..! suddenly I gave a serious look towards my bike and flash a very witty smile & my frnd get my intenstion. we rush down to our rooms and pack our bagges and get ready to kiss the sky-high mountains. We march out at nite just like a "Ian Rites" a famous travel master in Discovery channel. We hit Pathankot via Ambal-Jalandhar at nite have a kool nite at road side DHHABA's after getting-up early in the morning, tights our shoes & gearing up the bike to face the real adventure of ROADDIES. our frist stop was Dalhousie Youth Hostel where we had a lotz of Mommos and Beers whole day and a silent walk of the areas make us re-energized. next day we ... we hooked with two tyre tubes + two pluges + two carboraters + an engine oil with a pair of clutch wires...

Fishing and Rafting

by RAJASTHANBYCAR

The Kullu Valley has numerous places for trout fishing. These includes Katrain, Raison, Kasol and Naggar; then along the river Tirthan near Larji, in the Sainj valley and in the Hurlakhund. The valley is the nucleus of several trek routes. Some major ones are over the chanderkhani Pass to Malana village, over the Jalori Pass or Bashleo Pass to Shimla, and over the Pin parvati Pass to Sarahan. the river Beas offers excellent opportunities for white water rafting.

Hiking in the Himalayas

by shobhanaj

We hiked from Batseri to Rakcham and back - all in all about a 15 km hike. It wasn't difficult, but for beginners like us we huffed and puffed our way through. But the view at every point is well worth the effort. Glimpses of snow capped peaks, waterfalls, forests, meadows, streams, birds...the list is endless. You feel one with nature. Good hiking shoes and a guide. It is extremely foolish to go without one as they know the territory very well. Also this area does have wild animals like bears and leopards so it is advisable to go with someone who understands the language of the forest and the mountains. And yes, don't forget a camera.
