    Situated on a hillock 15 km south of Leh, was once the residence of the royal family & it was constructed by the first king of Ladakh, Lhachen Palgyigon.

    The Shanti Stupa was built by a Japanese order and was opened by the Dalai Lama in 1985. From the top, one can view the exotic locales nearby.

    Don't miss a walk in the small narrow streets parallel to the main street !

    You will see a bakery like this one and many other extraordinary tiny local shops, absolutely not for the tourists !

    Walk Upstream toward Khardungla

    You can talk a walk up stream toward Khardungla, to Gonpa/Ganglais. Its really calm and walking past the green barley fileds is very interesting.

    Beautiful otside, beautiful inside , this mosque is in "downtown". The tibetan arcs are unique!The picture was taken from the house i was having tea.

    it is very nice go to the bazaar and flea markets. You can find almost everything. Very nice bookshops with second hand books!

    it was build in the beginning of the 17th century. it has more than 9 floors and more than 100 rooms. It can be seen from anypart of Leh.

    We went for a half a day of rafting on the Indus river! Everything was included... helmets etc. and of course insurance! Will include more information in a travelogue.
