Bangalore Restaurants

Bangalore has real-good food
joints and the host of variety supported here is marvellous. Its
definetly unlike Delhi (where I've been for 7 years) and Mumbai (where
I've been on-off for past 6 years), where for good quality food (as
mentioned by Suhas) costs a 'real-good' amount. Further more, the
culture of 'home-delivery' is very sound in Bnagalore alone. Delhi and
Mumbai are still trying to catch up with it. Chennai is way out of
race.. probably not competing at all.. Further more, the modes of
payment supported by joints in Bangalore is again fabulous.

Getting back to the taste and preparations provided by joints in
Bangalore, I'd rather list the eateries in Bangalore rather than argue
in words (Please note that I'm not mentioning the eateries which I
feel are not offerring good quality stuff as I've visited all these
places atleast once), and am sure there are many more :

1) North Indian food :

High order (Rs 400 and above for 2) : Tandoor (MG Road),
Parivar(Residency Road), BayLeaf (Koramangala), Angithi (Museum Inn),
Ramanshree California's Dhaba (Dodballapur Road), The restaurant in
Atria hotel (forgot the name)
Mid order (Rs 200 and above for 2) : Aangan (Lady Curzon Rd), Tava
(Wheeler Road), Queens (Church St), Golconda Chimney (Airport Road),
Ramana's (Cunningham Road), Aatithya (Ashraya Hotel)
Low order (Rs. 100 and above for 2) : Lalita's Parantha point (Amazing
paranthas and host of North Indian food, Com St), Lalita's Food
Hut(Domlur), Sharma's Punjabi Dhaba (Koramangala), Richie Rich (Frazer
Town), Regency (Kammanahalli)

North Indian Food with South Indian touch : All *sagars, Sai Garden
(Koramangala), Woody's (Com St)
Keep away from : Sigri and Dhanush :) The taste probably savoures the
NRIs..

2) South Indian (am talking of what a North Indian might like) :) :

High order : Woody's and probably other 5* offerrings.. (In Delhi, it
would have been Vaigai where you get 2 Idlis for 75 bucks)
Mid order : Woody's standing section, *sagars, Bheemas, Amravathi,
Nagarjuna, Eden Park, Shanbagh
Low order : *darshinis, Coffee House (M G Road)

3) Indian-Chinese Food :

High order : Rice Bowl (Lavelle Road), Lemon Grass
Mid order : Chung's, Chung Wah, Ginza, Mandarin
Low order : Delicacy (Cox Town)

4) Chinese-Chinese Food :

High order : Mainland China, Memories of China, Bamboo Shoots (Museum
Inn)
Mid order : De Noble House (Highly recommended for Chinese and Thai
food, Branch of Berco's in Delhi)
Low order : (I dunno)

5) Tex-Mex Food :

High order : Bangalore Bistro (Cunningham Road), Latino's (Lady Curzon
Road), Orange County (There's Richard, the Guitarist, who'll be happy
to sing/play a song for you)
Mid order : (I dunno)
Low order : (I dunno)

6) North-Indian Junk Food (Chaats etc) :

High order : (I dunno, probably go to Taj and order a Bhel Puri, if
they serve it!)
Mid order : Kanti Sweets (Brigade Road ext), Tewari's, Gangotri
(Koramangala)

7) Sweets Shop :
