Don't eat food that is offered to you on the street. The food was laying there for a long time or isn't warm enough. You will surely get stomachproblems from it.

You can get great bargains from local merchants particularly if you haggle. But beware because although they are generally honest, they are also very canny. Make sure any deal is watertight!
