Banana Plantation (The Mango Tree Restaurant)

Well, you can pick from vegetarian, vegetarian or vegetarian. Hampi being a holy city is meat and alcohol free, not a problem to most people, in fact the dossa, dahl fry and thali is really good. But if you feel as though your going thro' "de-tox", give them 24hrs notice, and meat and beer in the fridge can be provided, although at a rather inflated price, and the beer may be served from a teapot to diguise that fact, and somewhat taints the flavour, but when needs must, haha!!

We found this place again while wandering around the back streets. Run by a friendly family on the rooftop of their house, they serve decent international food.

Our first breakfast in Hampi was at a little dhaba up towards the far end of Hampi Bazaar on the right hand side. They served very good dosas (thin pancakes) at a good price.
