Cauvery handicrafts is an outlet run by the government of Karnataka and has besides handicrafts,good quality sandal wood incense,perfumes,soaps,soap suds and sandal wood garlands.the price may be a bit more than private shops,but the quality is good and there is no bargaining.

You could buy a coffee filter in steel in one of the shops selling steel vessels(or even those selling coffee powder have these).The ones that i found here are unique in the sense that they look like a kettle and are easy to make fresh filter coffee decoction.so coffee lovers this is a great buy.

All over Coorg you get very good spices such as cardamom,cloves,pepper and cinnamon.You also get good quality honey and coffee.These are good to buy for ourselves and also to gift.I bought all the above mentioned in small outlets on the way to Coorg from Talacauvery and am happy with the quality.

you get unique t-shirts with animal prints and cute slogans about nature and wildlife.they are of good design and quality.you also get jackets,pull overs and caps and hats,capris and cargo pants.reasonably priced they are a good buy.
