Shrirangapattana Local Customs

As the entire town sits in the middle of the Kaveri River (as an island), water is pretty much everywhere. Like all over India, river water is used for washing clothes (and also for drinking) which is women's work. I saw this small group of women near the main temple to the north of the town but I suppose you can see others in other places.
