About the only attraction of this sleepy little town is the annual temple festival which lasts for 11 days. Pagent of 13 elephants are lined up with band of temple musicians. The celebration is much like Thrissur pooram, except the fact here in Irinjalakuda is less touristy.
At night, traditional performance of kathkali can be seen at the temple.
