My experience, as part of a tour group, accomodated in a hotel away from the town, was that there wasn't much to do! Ours was a dry hotel too. and the Tvs in our rooms weren't working! Luckily, I had a book, post cards to write!
We were only there for the one night. If I'd been there longer, I would have wanted to venture out into the town, although in our brief visit I didn't spot any restaurants/bars..they might have been there, but they eluded me!
So a chance to catch up on reading/postcard writing etc, then an early night to catch up on sleep!
