Luggage and bags: It is always better to travel light, If you plan to do excessive shopping, you can take a big bag with you. There are no branded stores in munnar where you can buy good quality shopping bags.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Blue jeans, or cargo's will be good. You can take warm cotton or woolen clothes with you, A muffler will be helpful, especially if you are not usually comfortable in cold climates.A good Leather shoes is highly recommended, it will help your feet stay warm, and give good grip on steep roads. And if you are traveling by motorcycle, a good rain wear jacket and a good full covered helmet will be very useful.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: There is a pharmacy in Munnar town, and you can find all the basic toiletries inMunnar town department stores

Photo Equipment: It is better to buy films and batteries from your home town, Films are expensive in any tourist spots. and once you leave munnar town you wont be able to find a store to buy batteries.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: It can be quite chilly early morning and in the evenings. A jumper/fleece and or jacket are necessary.

lightweight walking boots, for off the beaten track.
The pathways at Eravikulam can be a bit uneven and slippery in places.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Basic items available in Munnar.

Photo Equipment: Stunning scenery around Munnar, and the market/ bazaar area ofers good photo opportunities.
Wide angle and long distance lenses, to capture some of the beauty of the area.
It should be possible to stock up on film in Munnar, I purchased some from a kiosk, a few km outside Munnar.

Miscellaneous: Binoculars
