speedboating on the tranquil waters of madupetty reservoir is an experience not to be missed.
when we reached the boating station it was 2.30pm in afternoon after much contemplation about the hot sun we decided to give it a try.
surprisingly the temperature over the waters was cool and the gentle breeze was doing its work well to soothe our souls.
we bought tickets and waited as the speedboat came rushing in towards the boat station and suddenly cut off its engine and spun its direction and that allowed it to gently ease towards the shore.
we boarded the speedboat and it took off with a roar towards the far reaches of the lake.
we enjoyed the splashes of the wake created by the speedboat cutting its way thro the waters.
beautiful play of different colors of the bottom shore of th reservoir reflected by the afternoon sun made and awesome sight.
on the far side we could see elephants grazing on the shores of the reservoir.
a few of them were quite close and were wild.see my other tip on the elephants at madupetty.
Equipment: speedboats are run by KTDC and kerala forest dept.
all you have to do is buy tickets don the lifejackets and enjoy the ride.
