Malabar Hill from Chowpatty Beach

This residential high class area is located in the southwest part of Mumbai, at the west of the Chowpatty Beach.

Here you can find some colonial bungalows that were built at the hillside by the British and some modern apartment blocks of Mumbai's high society.

Main attractions here are the Hanging Gardens, Kamala Nehru Park, from where you have nice views of the city, and the Parsi Towers of Silence, where Parsis leave their dead bodies to be picked clean by vultures (but don't go there to see this, please, is closed to visitors!).

If you're feeling energetic, a stroll down Marine Drive is possibly the best way to discover Mumbai. This is a windswept promenade, flanked by the sea and a row of art deco buildings. Looped between the concrete jungle of Nariman Point, Mumbai's Manhattan, and the leafy green slopes of Malabar hill, Marine Drive was once called the queen's Necklace, strung with glittering street lights like an enormous strand of imperious jewels. It is also one of Mumbai's busiest roads, an important artery for the heavy suburban traffic heading downtown. Cars whiz continually past the two mile stretch, past huddled lovers, children and babies in perambulators. Like other seafronts, this is where most of south Mumbai comes to breathe in some fresh air.

Marine Drive

Just hang and sit on the wall and watch the sun set where Marine Drive circles around the bay. It's busy and peaceful. Why not it's Mumbai?

Bordering the Arabian Sea, this famous road is a popular spot for watching sunsets, and is gorgeous when lit up at night

Queens Necklace

Marine Drive one of the most beautiful sites of Mumbai. It is a pleasure to site the Queens necklace- the night view of the lamp lit road described by many as the Queens Necklace.
