road to eternity

Perhaps the only site within the city that would attract tourists who have interest in History, but the approach is not so good. A lot could have been done to improve the surroundings and the path that leads to the caves. The caves are said to be built before the birth of Christ and are carved out of rocks. Those who have visited Ajanta, Ellora caves near Aurangabad may find some resemblance to those caves and draw analogies. A downtrodden plaque at the entrance of the caves gives a brief insight into the history of the caves. The view of the Nashik city from the caves are panoramic and is very cool and refreshing.
