KK Travels near the airport offer a small minibus as well as a car if you wish to travel on your own. If you can contact them before you land here then it will be best to have a confirmation beforehand. The other option is the taxi from Dadar Station which is not so comfortable as it is a non airconditioned taxi and you have to share it with three other people. The fare is much less than the private operators or bookings done through travel agents. The train is the best option and cheapest too but then you have to go at the right time and book your tickets before you arrive here so that you have a confirmed e-ticket. You can travel by airconditioned chair car as well as sleeper coaches or even normal general class compartments on some of the trains that go to Nasik or beyond which is also not expensive at all.

Last year, Nashik was connected to Mumbai by a daily flight service provided by Air Deccan. The flight time is around 45 mts and the airfares are in the range of INR 1000-1400 per person. This is a no frills budget airlines. Very shortly, there will be a flight connection for Nagpur also.
