Favorite thing: Though wool and other knitwear is not locally produced, woolens available in the markets of shillong is very good by Indian standards. Whenever we are in SHillong we tend to buy a lot of woolen wear.
There is also a lady by the name of Mrs Hazarika and though I never met her, her reputation exceeds her. I have few garments made for my elder daughter the last time I was there. The sweater she knits is very nice and my wife is always trying to measure the products available in other markets by that standard.
