Nagaland is a state comprising of 16 different tribal communities & they are unique in their own way in regards to their festival, customs, costumes, jeweleries etc. The festival usually happens all year around. The Government of Nagaland in order to promote tourism in the state has brought the concept of showcasing all the different activities under one roof during the Hornbill Festival which takes place in the Naga Heritage village of Kisima- (10 km from the Nagaland capital of Kohima) from 1st-7th December every year.

Only one airport in Nagaland is in Dimapur, port of Nagaland.
Kohima you see in this picture is New Kohima, said only 200 years old.The older is Kohima village about 500 (or 700 - not sure) years old, the biggest village in Asia.
This is the cemetery of soldiers in World War II , when Japanese Army invaded Thailand, then cross Myanmar to India.
Nagas seemed separate into 2 groups, one fighting because of under British , one helped Japanese - hoping for Win and freedom from British.
But it did not matter at all,
Finally both had defeated!
