before visiting the temple ensure through the pandas inside temple or nijog ensure your identity in their red books which holds your lineage information collected and verified through generations of the temple tradition,the pandas are divided into ilakas or areas through out India,confirm it and sign in those books for your future generations to follow happy jaganath visits and manasiks.this will not allow you to fall victim of unnecessary government sponsored controversial look alike Pandas trap programme.
Unique Suggestions: do not share information with your hotelier about visiting temple,dont trust them they disguise their own men to visitors as pandas of puri.
Fun Alternatives: always collect information on your area panda,he will guide you properly and save your money.

As soon as you are in the close vicinity of the jagannath temple...all kinds of people will start approaching you ,offering help inside the temple or offering to help with pujas inside the temple.Avoid these people as much as possible.

WHENEVER YOU ARE PURI MAKE SURE YOU DON T' VISIT THE JAGANNATH TEMPLE WITH UN-AUTHORISED PERSONS. LET ME MAKE VERY CLEAR THAT NON- HINDUS ARE NOT ALLOWED INSIDE THE TEMPLE. NON HINDUS CAN SEE THE TEMPLE AND TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS FROM OUTSIDE. MANY PEOPLE COME TO THE HOTEL DISGUISED AS PANDAS OR THE PRIEST AND PROMISE TO TAKE YOU TO THE TEMPLE FOR SOME MONEY. BUT ACTUALLY NO SUCH THING IS REQUIRED. ANY ONE CAN VISIT THE TEMPLE ONLY NON HINDUS ARE NOT ALLOWED INSIDE.
Unique Suggestions: IN CASE YOU FACE SUCH PROBLEM PLEASE GET IN TOUCH WITH YOUR HOTEL MANAGER. HE WILL PROBABLY SHOO THE SO CALLED MESSENGER OF GOD OUT FROM THE HOTEL. ONE SHOULD NOT ENCOURAGE THEM AT THE FIRST PLACE.
